Make ceramics with your own hands

You'll make 1 to 3 pieces, depending on your idea. The instructor will show you how to bring it to life in clay, and everything you need is ready and waiting.

What's included

Painting isn't included — there's a separate “Wheel throwing & painting” workshop for that.

Everyone gets their own pottery wheel, so nobody waits in line. Then you paint your piece at the table.

What you'll do

• One medium-sized piece: a cup, bowl or small vase up to 20 cm
• A clean shape and simple painting with slips (engobes)
• Try both wheel throwing and painting in a single session

Your finished piece

We'll dry it, fire it and coat it with food-safe glaze. In about 3–4 weeks you can pick it up at the studio or we'll ship it to you, even abroad.

For those who want to make something by hand and paint it right away.

What you'll do

• Shape a medium-sized piece from a slab of clay
• Let it dry a little so it holds its shape
• Paint it with clay-based colors called slips (engobes)

Your finished piece

We'll finish drying it, fire it and coat it with food-safe glaze. In about 3 weeks it's a finished piece ready for everyday use (the exact time depends on thickness and size) — pick it up at the studio or we'll ship it to you, even abroad.

For those who value the instructor's attention at every step and a relaxed, unhurried pace.

What you'll do

• Work one-on-one at the pottery wheel
• Make 2 simple pieces or 1 more complex one with a thought-out design and painting
• Bring your own idea to life and work on the details

The studio has 4 pottery wheels: some kids work at the wheel while others build by hand, and then they swap.

What they'll do

• A wheel-thrown piece decorated as a favorite animal or character
• A gift from the studio: kids make their own magnets, keychains, pendants or brooches
• Firing of the piece and all the little extras is included

Painting isn't included — it's a separate workshop.

The team splits up: some work at the 4 pottery wheels, others build by hand, and then you swap. That way everyone creates 2 pieces.

What you can make

• On the wheel: mugs, tumblers, small vases, bowls
• By hand: jewelry dishes, incense holders, a saucer to match your mug
